Helen M. (Niedzinsky) Armendo, of Worcester passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at UMass Medical Center after a period of declining health, six days after celebrating her 79th birthday. Helen is survived by her two sons, Michael J. Armendo of Milford and Dale A. Armendo and his wife Tina of West Brookfield; her sister Theresa Kuchnicki; three grandchildren, Jacqueline Partridge of Brookfield and Anthony & Christopher Armendo of Shrewsbury; and a great-grandchild Nora Partridge. In addition to her parents Helen joins her brother Frank Niedzinsky in heaven. Helen was born in Worcester the oldest daughter of Frank Niedzinsky and Mary (Masterson) Germain. She grew up in Worcester, the last 51 years being in the same home until her passing. Helen attended Saint Stephen’s Catholic School and graduated in the class of 1956. She went on to work as an operator and supervisor for Bell Telephone for many years and later in housekeeping at Saint Vincent Hospital for over fifteen years, before eventually retiring. Helen lived a simple life in her home; she enjoyed cooking, taking care of her pets and especially her family visits. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Helen at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2017 in Saint Stephen’s Parish, 357 Grafton St., Worcester, MA; followed by a procession to Notre Dame Cemetery for Final Committal Services.
