Margaret M. (Harmon) Ford, 94, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017, as Easter was upon us; now joining her loving husband, John A. Ford, and their son, Richard J. Ford, in Heaven, along with the risen Christ. She was surrounded by the loving family and extended family that always gave her great joy and comfort. Margaret is survived by her loving family, including a daughter, Margaret M. Judson and her husband John; a son, David J. Ford and his wife Maryann; a daughter in law, Suzan Ford, who was considered a daughter, all of Worcester; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister, Francis and Gene Harmon and Rita M. Belanger. Born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Eugene M. and Margaret V. (Monahan) Harmon, she graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and David Hale Fanning Trade. Margaret was a life-long resident of Worcester, and was known to all as a kind, gentle and loving person; truly one of God’s angels on Earth. She was a member of Our Lady of The Rosary Church. Before retiring, Margaret was a finishing worker for Allegro Micro-Systems. Not wanting to be idle in retirement, she continued to work at Sam’s Club in Worcester, before they closed. Margaret’s family would like to thank the wonderful people who helped in her care; the “angels” at Elder Services, the compassionate care-givers with VNA Hospice, and her personal caregiver, Theresa. Their kindness, compassion, and love, will long be remembered and appreciated. Calling Hours for Margaret will be held on Monday, April 24, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 25, from the funeral home, departing at 9:40 a.m. in procession for a 10 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of The Rosary Church, 25 Fales Street, Worcester.
