Elmer R. Burbo, Jr.

October 23, 1941 — March 7, 2017

Elmer “Allen Reeves” Burbo, Jr., passed away on March 7, 2017 in Denton, Texas.  He was born on October 23, 1941 and lived in Krum, Texas with his wife. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Barbara Ann Canady, three sons, two daughters, eight sisters, Nancy Burke, Marie Ames, Claire Baez, Sheila Colby, Agnes Burbo,, Sandra Carey, Linda St. Germain and Judith Richer; one brother, Richard Burbo; two brother in laws; one sister in law; numerous grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by a sister, Shirley Plaud who died in 2016.  Elmer was born in Worcester, son of the late Elmer and Agnes (Burritt) Burbo. Mr. Burbo served in the US Army and was a musician.  He played with several famous people, such as Merle Haggard and George Jones.  He married Barbara Ann Canady in 2000 in Krum, Texas.  He loved country music and will surely be missed by his family and friends.
