Alice R. (Baroud) Abdelnour, 92, of Branford, Connecticut, passed away in the comfort of her home, on Saturday, March 18, 2017. She was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, daughter of the late, Elias and Mary (Haddad) Baroud, and lived there most of her life, relocating to Connecticut after the death of her beloved husband, Charles K. Abdelnour, who predeceased her in 2014. Alice is survived by her son, Dr. Bruce G. Haffty and his wife Kathleen Haffty of Somerset, NJ and East Haven, CT; three grandchildren, Lauren Lussier and her husband Robert, Sarah Sanderson and her husband Chris, and Brian Costello. She is also survived by three precious great grandchildren, Genevieve, Matthew, and Maeve Lussier; many nieces, nephews, and her specially close niece, Barbara French of Sterling, Mass. Alice is survived by her brother Mitch Baroud of Worcester and was predeceased by five siblings, Judy Lancisi, Karem Baroud, George Baroud, Robert Baroud, and Edward Baroud. Alice dedicated her life to loving and caring for her family. She was a life-long member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Worcester. She and Charles spent many years, enjoying life together along with their wonderful son and family. They loved to travel and enjoyed horse racing. Alice will be remembered as a loving woman with a tender smile and great sense of humor. Calling Hours and her Funeral Service will be held in her church. Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, March 25, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., followed by her Funeral Service at 11 a.m., in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 256 Hamilton Street, Worcester, MA. Interment, beside her beloved Charles, will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
