Bryan E. Hill, 50, of Holland, MA, formerly of Springfield and Longmeadow, passed away peacefully in Harrington Hospital in Southbridge, on Friday, March 10, 2017, after a period of declining health, with his loving family by his side. Bryan was born in Springfield on November 13, 1966 a son of Edward V. and Jacqueline A. (Mackay) Hill. Bryan was raised in Longmeadow, where he attended high school. Bryan started working for the family business at the age of fifteen and continued to work there as a sales representative until the day he passed away. Bryan was a loyal and caring person who enjoyed and excelled at his profession and considered customers as if they were all his family. His dedication and commitment to those he served were always Bryan’s top priorities, regardless of the obstacles in his own life. Bryan loved the outdoors and nature; and he enjoyed spending time fishing on his boat, hunting in Vermont, and riding on his snowmobile. Bryan was also an avid New England sports fan; he was a lifelong Red Sox and Patriots fan, and he loved going to the games. Bryan was loved by all who knew him due to his big heart and great sense of humor. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, most of all with his wife of over twenty years, Joyce Yates-Hill, whose cooking Bryan would tell you was the best in the world. Bryan’s passing has left a sadness in the hearts of all that knew him. He is survived by his parents; Edward and Jacqueline A. (Mackay) Hill of Shrewsbury; his wife Joyce Yates-Hill of Holland, MA; his sister Darlene D. Boucher and her husband Alan of Somers, CT; his sisters-in-law, Marie Hill, Eva O’Brien and her husband Gerry, Jamie Yates-Yee and her husband Wayne; his brother-in-law, Jay Yates; and many nieces and nephews. Bryan is also survived by his and Joyce’s five fur babies; their Bulldog, Benny II; three black labs, Lucy, Rodney, and Ronnie; and their Yorkie, Donchu. Bryan was predeceased by his two brothers, Edward V. and Gregory P. Hill and his Bulldog, Benny I. Friends and relatives are invited to a period of calling hours on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., Worcester, MA, 01605. A celebration of Bryan’s life will be held the following day on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Bryan’s burial will be on Monday March 20, 2017 at 10:00 AM in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker St, Springfield, MA 01129.
