Patricia C. (Hallahan) Benoit, 81, of Worcester, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at her home, surrounded by loving family members. Her husband, Joseph W. Benoit, predeceased her. She was also predeceased by three of their children, Mark A. Benoit, Denise Benoit, and Timothy C. Benoit. Patricia is survived by two daughters, Donna L. Simarano (John) of Worcester, Christine E. Albin (Kurt) of Shrewsbury; five sons, Joseph F. Benoit of Worcester, James P. Benoit (Lynn) of Auburn, Michael R. Benoit (Virginia) of Auburn, Daniel J. Benoit (Amy) of Rutland, and John L. Benoit of Worcester; a sister, Mary King; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; a great-great grandson; many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Matthew J. Benoit; and four brothers, Francis, John, Lawrence, and Joseph Hallahan. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Lawrence P.L. and Elizabeth (King) Hallahan. Patricia worked as a supervisor for Youville House and Catholic Charities for many years, before retiring in 2008. She had previously worked as an aide at Providence House Nursing Home. She was a loving women, who gave what she could to anyone in need. She lived the motto…”do unto others as you’d have done to you” Calling Hours will be Sunday, from 4pm to 6 pm at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Saint John’s Church, 44 Temple Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donation in memory may be made to Saint John’s Food for the Poor.
