Grace M. (Marrino) Olson, 73 of Webster, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at UMASS Medical Center after a 9 month battle with lung cancer. Grace was born in Worcester, the daughter to Walter D. and Catherine C. (Grace) Marrino where she was a graduate of North High School. She married Philip A. Olson and they moved to Sturbridge where she was a resident for 26 years, later moving to Webster where she had lived for the past 12 years. Grace was a homemaker and also worked as a Merchandiser for various companies. In her spare time Grace enjoyed gardening, crafting, shopping, boating, and she loved going to the ocean where she would take long walks on the beach. Grace and Philip lived on Webster Lake where they enjoyed taking frequent boat rides with family and friends. Beside her loving husband of 53 years, Philip, she is survived by her son, Philip W. Olson and his wife Robin of Webster; her daughter Cheryl C. Lapierre and her husband Marc of Sturbridge, and Christine M. Toomey of Oakham; her two granddaughters Samantha and Kelsey Toomey; a brother-in-law, Gordon Olson and his wife Sondra of Westford and a sister-in-law Beverly Lauer and her deceased husband Howard of Berlin, MD; she is predeceased by a brother-in-law Edmond Olson and his surviving wife Lorraine of Worcester; and nieces and nephews.
