Paul H. Danault, 65, of Leicester, a former Vietnam War, U.S. Navy Veteran passed away February 19, 2017. Paul was born October 23, 1951, in Worcester, a son of the late Herve J and Barbara R (Elia) Danault. Paul joined the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War serving aboard the USS Severn supply ship from 1973-1976 earning the National Defense Service Medal. Paul worked for a number of years for U.S. Postal Service before retiring. Paul was an avid sports player and loved playing softball for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends, watching New England sports teams, playing Keno and working on cars. Paul is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Gates and her husband Rick of Thompson Ct, a son, Paul G Danault and his wife, Jennifer of Worcester, a brother Gary J Danault and his wife Debbie of Worcester, a sister Kris M Danault of Westminster, a close friend Mary-Ellen Brosnihan, 4 grandchildren, nephews, many cousins family and friends including his best friend since childhood Lawrence “Larry” Sullivan. Graveside services with Military honors will be held Monday, February 27th 2017 at 12 noon in the Ma Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Rd Winchendon. There are no calling hours.
