Joceline Zenon, 73 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at UMass Medical Center: University Campus surrounded by her loving family. Joceline was born in Port au Prince, Haiti, a daughter to the late Joseph Charytable Zenon and Elisne (Villbrant) Joseph. She grew up in Haiti and came to America settling in Brooklyn New York until moving to Worcester in 1993 where she has lived ever since. Joceline worked as a home health aide for 11 years for Personal Touch in Brooklyn and for UMass Memorial for 28 years retiring in 2003. Joceline was a devoted member and faithful women of Nouvelle Arche Seventh Day Adventist Haitian Church in Worcester. She loved to cooking, singing, watching comedy on TV, spending time with her grandchildren and she loved to hum different songs. Joceline loved to laugh and love and was a very giving woman. Joceline leaves behind to mourn her loss, four daughters, Pierreline Zenon and Scyndy Hesley both of Worcester, Nadeige Octavius and her husband Elympse of Millbury, and Jennifer Francois of Florida; eight brothers, Joseph and Colbert Zenon both of Florida, Harry Zenon and Jean Yves both of Worcester, Herby Zenon and Jean Marcel both of Haiti, William Zenon of France, and Marc Zenon of Guadalupe; eleven sisters, Josette, Charriette and Marilyn Zenon all of Florida, Magalie, Margaret, Lydie and Gerline Zenon all of Worcester, Liguady and Cynthia Zenon both of Paris, Kettly Zenon of New York, and Ynick Zenon of Montreal; 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a daughter, Judith Zenon; three brothers, Jean Walk, Norbert Zenon and Jean Russe; three sisters, Herodia, Esnailla and Sheila Zenon. Her funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Nouvelle Arche Seventh Day Adventist Haitian Church, 64 Salisbury St., Worcester. Entombment will follow in Saint John’s Mausoleum, Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 23rd from 4-7 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.
