She was later recognized by Assumption College for her 25 plus years of devoted volunteer services. Both Carole and Eddie were devoted sports fans and were Holy Cross season ticket holders for decades, as well as VIP function hosts. She was a devoted Catholic, who truly believed that faith, family and friends were the most important aspects in life. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church and the Eastside Post 201, Ladies Auxiliary. As a homemaker, she passionately instilled in her family the importance of creating a home that encompassed warmth and her love of the Italian culture. Many of her traditions and recipes were passed on to her family. At one time, Carole was a talented dancer with a specialty in Flamingo Dancing. She was also a gifted piano player, who brightened family gatherings with sing alongs. As a quilter and seamstress, she passed on unique homemade mementos, which will be treasured even more in the years to come. Avid travelers, Carole and Edward loved traveling to The Greenbriar Resort, the Italian Riviera, Cape Cod, and their CHEVROLET Diamond Club Excursions. They especially enjoyed their Wachusett Country Club Family Membership. In Carole’s life, nothing was more important to her than family. During the days when children would come home from school for lunch, Carole served her children and those children of neighborhood parents that were working. She always welcomed all her children’s friends and anyone else into her home. Carole strongly believed in education and always encouraged all the children to study and pay attention in school. As a result , she was also known as "Nonnie" and "La Professeur" to many.
