Pasquale "Pat" Moreschi

Pasquale “Pat” A. Moreschi, 76, of Holden, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017, surrounded by his family, at UMass Hospital in Worcester. Pat is survived by his one and only, loving wife of fifty-five years, Dorothy V. (Bean) Moreschi; their three children, Brad E. Moreschi and his wife Cathie of Brentwood, TN; Gregge D. LaViolette and her husband John of Holden; and Guy A. Moreschi and his girl-friend Jamie George of Rochester, NY; five grandchildren, Reid, Maya, and Luke Moreschi, Quinn and Delaney LaViolette; many nieces, nephews, and friends locally as well as Rhode Island and Florida.  He was predeceased by his son Guy’s wife, Kelly Connelly Moreschi, and by his brother, Albert.  Pat was born in Worcester, son of the late, Anthony and Virginia (DiMassa) Moreschi and has lived in and around Worcester all his life. Pat was an inspector in the castings department at Komtek Industries for many years before retiring in 2002.  Earlier in life, he worked beside his father and uncle at the former Moreschi Flower shop on Plantation Street in Worcester.  Pat was a member of the former Saint Margaret Mary Parish, and Our Lady of Mount Carmel.  Pat and Dot spent their retirement years “wintering” in Florida, where he would continue to play golf for days on end, after spending the warm months in Worcester hitting the ball around Green Hill Golf Course.  He enjoyed also bowling and Tuesday night cribbage games.  They also spent summers at their trailer in Rhode Island, enjoying time with family by the campfire, lazy days at the beach enjoying the warm summer breezes, and the laughter of their grandchildren.  Pat will be missed dearly. There are no calling hours. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 25, at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Worcester, MA 01604.  Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Children International, P.O. Box 219357, Kansas City, MO, 64121-9357. Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, Worcester, is assisting the Moreschi Family with arrangements.
