NICHOLAS ORTHODOX CHURCH, 34 GOLD ST., SHREWSBURY, PRECEDED BY A PERIOD OF VISITAION IN CHURCH FROM 9-10 a.m. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester Louis Rucho, 88 of West Boylston, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Holy Trinity Nursing Home. Louis was born in Worcester, a son to the late Albania immigrants, Andon and Banusha (Panu) Rucho where he attended Worcester Schools. He served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War. Louis was the owner of Diane’s Flower Shop in Worcester for 20 years and was a longtime resident of West Boylston until 2011. Throughout his life he was a faithful steward of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. Louis is survived by his wife, Judith C. (Croteau) Rucho; his daughter, Jessica B. Brunelle and her husband Richard of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren, Dimitri and Gracie Brunelle of Tampa, FL; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by five brothers, Vasil whom was his twin, Thomas, Peter, Barney and John Rucho; two sisters, Margaret Yanka and Celia Soter. Services for Louis will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 34 Gold St., Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. A period of calling hours Sunday, February 12th from 4-7 pm with a Trisagion Service at 6 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester and again on Monday morning in church from 9-10 a.m.in the church prior to his funeral service.
