Elizabeth M. Gardella On Monday, February 6, 2017, I left this life to be with my Maker, and see my parents, my dear sister, Frances, other family members and friends, and to finally meet Elvis and Frank. I was the second born of Frances (Andresano) and Leone J. Gardella. I temporarily leave my brother, Edward and his wife, Elaine, and my sister, Missy Lucier. I also leave my nieces and nephew – Nancy, Erica, Lindsey and Michael, and great nieces and nephews – Gianna, Daija, Ariella, Gus and Tom, along with my Aunts Barbara, Mary, Uncle Fred, many cousins, and my dear friends Angela and Tom -- all of whom I loved very much To my dear friends that I have cherished over the years, I say “see you later,” and you too, my fond felines “Whiskers” and “Lucky.” I have had a wonderful life, many opportunities and accomplishments thanks to my upbringing, family values, and fabulous educators, the Sisters of Saint Joseph, Academy of the Sacred Heart, Class of ’61. Thanks to the sacrifice and diligence of my teachers and my desire to learn, I was able to pursue and enjoy a lengthy career as a legal secretary. I was associated with the firm of Fisher, Mandell & Fisher for over 30 years, initially as a personal secretary for Conrad W. Fisher (who taught me so much in the field of law) and then for Andrew L. Mandell (who I always admired as an attorney, judge and gentleman). I leave you with these words: “Love and live every moment of this life and prepare for the next.” Elizabeth was deeply involved with the Mount Carmel Preservation Society. She loved to spend time with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed cooking, playing bocce, and an occasional game of chance. She was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan. She loved the music of Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra and jazz. Elizabeth’s family would like to thank the medical team and staff at Saint Vincent Hospital Intensive Care Unit for their kindness and care. Funeral Services and Visitation will take place in the church on Saturday, February 11 at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Worcester. Visitation starts at 9:30 a.m. with a Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will be private by the family at St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Jimmy Fund at Dana Farber Cancer Institute by visiting www.jimmyfund.org, or to the Mount Carmel Preservation Society, in the form of a pledge, in care of Commerce Bank, P.O.
