Robert V. Beahn, 90 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the Christopher House after a period of declining health. Robert’s wife of 40 years, Anna G. (Schliker) Beahn passed away on August 26, 1995. He is survived by two sisters, E. Carol Balser and her husband Raymond of North Grafton and Ruth Barrett of Worcester; numerous nieces and nephews. Robert is predeceased by five brothers, John “Jack”, Joseph, Raymond, Walter and Warren Beahn and a sister, Patricia Lemay. Robert was born in Worcester where he was a graduate of Saint Stephen’s Catholic High School, a son to the late Joseph F. and Evelyn C. (LaGorce) Beahn, Sr. He served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army. Robert worked for the former Lundgren and Jonaitis Dairy Farm in Shrewsbury as a pasteurizer for over 30 years before he retired in 1991. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Church, the American Legion Post on Grafton Hill and the Greendale Men’s Club. Services for Robert will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 am at St. Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton St., Worcester. Interment next to his wife will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Monday, February 6th from 9-10 a.m. in the funeral home prior to departure for his funeral Mass.
