Diana C. (Arsenault) Mauro, 74 of Holden, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at St. Vincent’s Hospital surrounded by her family. Diana was born on March 9, 1942 in Worcester, a daughter to the late Armand E. and Mary (Sanders) Arsenault. She attended Worcester Schools and lived there until moving to Holden 24 years ago. Diana worked as a cashier for 35 years for the former Big D Supermarket, D’Errico’s Market and Hanover Insurance retiring in 2011. She was a member of Saint Christopher Church. Diana enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends and watching the Boston Red Sox. Diana leaves behind to grieve her loss, her son, John A. Mauro, Jr. and his wife Dana of Auburn; her daughter, Donna Windler and her husband Douglas of Holden with whom she lived; five grandchildren, Eric Windler, Nicholas Mauro, Jennifer Windler, Zachary Mauro & Cassidy Windler; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother, Francis Arsenault and her sister, Arlene Roy. Diana’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Christopher’s Church, 950 West Boylston St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours.
