Brian A. Cerullo, 62, of West Boylston, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, with loved ones gathered at his bedside. Brian is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Karen (Parretti) Cerullo; their daughter, Kim M. Cerullo of Windsor Locks, CT; a sister, Brenda A. Bye of Wakefield; three brothers, Brent A. Cerullo of Melrose, Bruce A. Cerullo of Wakefield, and Blake A. Cerullo of Westford; his father and mother in law, Robert F. and Theresa (Bodinizzo) Parretti; many nieces and nephews. He was born in Wakefield son of the late, Anthony and Lorraine (Johnson) Cerullo, and graduated from Wakefield High School, later earning his Bachelor’s Degree from Worcester State University. He served his nation proudly in the United States National Guard. Brian worked as a Fraud Investigator for thirty-three years at John Hancock Insurance, and was most recently the Lead Investigator in the Fraud Department. He was a member of Saint Christopher Church. He enjoyed special times with his family and “escapes” to their home in Maine, where they could go to the beaches and enjoy all that Maine has to offer. His life revolved around his family and friends, for he believed that the love of family was one of God’s greatest gifts. Having been given a second chance at life, by being the recipient of a lung transplant, Brian and his family had a special respect for the preciousness of life and family. They became strong advocates for organ donation, and were living examples of just how important it is for a family to make such a delicate decision at a difficult time. Calling Hours for Brian will be held on Friday, December 30, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
