Mrs. Margaret Adu-Frimpong, 61, affectionately called Mummy, passed away on December 8th, 2016 at the UMASS Medical Center after a long illness. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Thursday, December 22nd from 4:00 pm to 8:00pm pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Friday, December 23rd from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St. where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am. Burial will follow to Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Mummy was born on 23rd August, 1955 in Kumasi, Ghana to Kwabena and Comfort (Boateng) Sarfo. She was married for nearly 40 years to Mr. Adu Frimpong, her dedicated husband. They raised three daughters and one son. She was a homemaker and the de-facto mother to all her siblings. She was very involved in the upbringing and well-being of every member of her family and she touched in profound and positive ways, every person she came into contact with. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, reading, dancing and spending time with her wonderful grand kids. Her family pays this tribute to her, ‘Mummy was one of the kindest people you could ever meet, she opened her heart and her home to everyone over the years and she will be sorely missed. A matriarch. A bedrock. A giver. A life well and fully lived.’ She is survived by her husband, three daughters and a son, Annemarie, Rachel, Elfreda and Tony.
