Stephen M. Brunner, 56 of Worcester passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at UMass Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. Stephen was born in Worcester on April 12, 1960. Growing up Stephen attended Worcester Boy’s Trade High School where he got his start in Masonry. After serving in the U.S. Army National Guard, he went on to own his own Construction business which he owned for over 30 years. Stephen was a long-time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Worcester and a familiar face at Clearview Country club in Millbury. Growing up Stephen was very athletic and he especially enjoyed playing football which he continued to play even as an adult in flag leagues. Stephen enjoyed entertaining the people closest to him by hosting cookouts on his deck. He loved having a good time with family and friends, enjoyed watching football, and loved to go fishing. Stephen always seemed to be good at any game or activity he tried. Many friends called him "Bear" or "Big Bear". Stephen was a generous and selfless person who made friends anywhere he went. He loved to laugh and joke with friends and family. Above all else he loved spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. Among his many survivors, Stephen leaves behind his three daughters; Ashley M. Brunner, Kymberlee L. Brunner and Krystina M. Brunner all of Worcester; three brothers, Larry R. Brunner, Sr., Francis E. Brunner and Glenn A. Brunner all of Worcester; two sisters, Lisa M. Padavano and her husband Gary of Worcester and Samantha L. Janes and her husband Mark of Georgia; two grandchildren, Aiden & Ethan Christopher; the mother of his children, Kellee J. White; many nieces and nephews and his father Larry R. Brunner. Stephen was predeceased by his mother Arlene M. (Carey) Brunner.
