Marine Maghazly Wehbe, age 86, a resident of Worcester, Massachusetts, entered into eternal life on Saturday, December 3, 2016. Marine's life was a true example of selfless dedication. She was born in San Salvador, El Salvador on January 30, 1930, and immigrated to Lebanon, her family’s homeland, as a child. In 1945, Marine was married to her one and only love, Asaad, for 66 years until his passing in 2011. Together, they established deep roots in Enfeh, Lebanon, where they raised their family with devotion and a strong faith in Christ. Beginning in 1973, many of their children began to immigrate to the United States, thereby beginning Marine’s tradition of traveling between Lebanon and the United States for many years to come to support her family unflinchingly and inspire them unknowingly, always with spirited, unconditional love. Marine is survived by seven of her eight loving children; Habib Wehbe, Mikhael (Thereze) Wehbe, Badia (Milad) Bitar, Eveline (George) Jreige, Issam (Inas) Wehbe, Albert (Mary Jane) Wehbe, and Violette (Nassim) Fares; 31 doting grandchildren; 43 cherished great grandchildren; sister Kamal; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Preceded in death by her husband, Asaad; son, Raymond (Gladis); daughter-in-law, Sabah; grandson, Fredy; and brother, George. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family in St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna St. this Friday, December 9th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm followed by her funeral service at 8:00 pm. Burial services and interment are being scheduled in Lebanon so Marine may rest in peace with her husband for eternity. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made in memory of Marine Wehbe to St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna St., Worcester, MA 01604. The Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
