Marie N. (Meringolo) McLean, 80 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at home with her family by her side. Marie’s husband of 56 years, John B. “Jake” McLean, Jr. passed away on March 29, 2013. She is survived by her three children, Kim McLean and her partner David Germain of Worcester with whom she lived, Paul McLean and his wife Tracy of Auburn and John McLean and his husband Robert Gervais of Worcester; a brother, Paul Meringolo and his wife Sharon; a brother-in-law, Richard Seigh all of Worcester; two granddaughters, Brittany and Calli McLean both of Auburn; Nancy Meringolo (cousin) who she thought of as a 2nd daughter; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Patricia Seigh. Marie was born in Worcester, a daughter to the late Dominic and Inez (Sargentelli) Meringolo. She graduated from Commerce High School and has lived in Worcester all her life. Marie worked as clerk for the Worcester Police Department for 10 years before her retirement in 1989. She was a member of Saint Stephen’s Church, loved doing housework and being surrounded by her family. Marie’s Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton St, Worcester. There are no calling hours.
