Gloria T. (Latino) Vokes, 86 of Worcester, formerly of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 17, 2016. Gloria’s husband, Ronald H. Vokes, passed away in 1976. She is survived by her three sons, John F. Dahlstrom and his wife Nancy of Shrewsbury, Robert Dahlstrom and his wife Susan and David Dahlstrom all of Worcester; four grandchildren, Carolyn Granberg and her husband Allen of Paxton, John Dahlstrom and his wife Katelyn of Boston, Jaclyn Dahlstrom of Los Angeles and Lexie Dahlstrom of Worcester; a brother, Raymond Latino of Boston; a sister, Rose Santora of Grafton; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother, Charles Latino; two sisters, Stella Nelson and Nina Alicandro. Gloria was born in Worcester, a daughter to the late Raymond and Nina (Pusateri) Latino. She was a graduate of David Hale Fanning Trade School and lived in both Worcester and Shrewsbury. Gloria worked as a Pharmacy Technician for UMass Hospital until she retired in 1994. She previously worked at First Aid Pharmacy for many years. She was a member of the former St. Margaret Mary’s Church. Gloria enjoyed gardening, going to the casino and was devoted to her friends and family. Her family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to all the staff at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing in Worcester for the outstanding care and compassion they gave to her over the past 10 years. Gloria’s funeral service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. There are no calling hours.
