Grace A. Casello, 89 of Worcester a dedicated Mother & Grandmother passed away Wednesday November 2nd with family gathered by her side. Grace, the only daughter of Italian immagrants Giuseppe and Antoinette (Lopolito) Francese was born in Worcester on July 21, 1927. She graduated from Commerce high school and earned her associates degree from Quinsigamond Community College. She has lived in Worcester, working and raising her family all her life. Grace worked in the Social Services department of Hahnemann Hospital before accepting a position with the newly formed Fallon Clinic as a Pharmacy Technician where she worked several years before retiring. Grace is survived by her four devoted children; Joseph Casello and his wife Josephine of Boynton Beach, Florida, Jean Casello-Deters and her husband Robert of Shrewsbury, Mary Goyette and her husband Paul of Somersworth NH, Janie Casello-Bouges and her husband Richard of Bolton; five grandchildren, Trinity Beckford, Wesley Bouges, Robert Deters, Abigail Bouges and Michael Deters; Many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Four brothers, Samuel, Patsy, Frank and Anthony Francese all pre deceased her. Grace was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, its golden years, and our lady of Sorrows organizations. A wonderful mother and women of faith, who guided her children through life’s challengers with words of wisdom and counsel of right and wrong. She pushed them to succeed, be dedicated and devoted to those they loved and never sway from your principles. Grace spoiled her children and grandchildren through life, loved having them around her for the holidays, and special occasions. Her Italian cooked and baked delicacies were delicious and widely sought after by all. Grace also enjoyed her many vacations back to Italy to see family and friends. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNEAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Monday, November 7th at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in St John’s Mausoleum.
