Angela R. “Angie” (Flaminio) DeAngelis, 93 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the Christopher House of Worcester, surrounded by her devoted daughters and granddaughter. Angela's husband of 44 years, Albert P. DeAngelis passed away in November of 1986. She is survived by her two daughters, Angela M. Casey and her husband Charles of Shrewsbury and Susan E. Farwell and her husband Thomas of Huntersville NC; four grandchildren, Julianne Peris, Christopher Casey, April Harper and Alison Loucks; seven great grandchildren, Casey, Ella, Andrew, JT, Benjamin, Andi and Payton; her sister, Lucille DeSantis and sister-in-law, Carole Molinari; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by four brothers, John, Pat, Maurice and Frank Flaminio; two sisters, Mary Rotondo and Lena Sbrogna. Angela was born in Worcester, a daughter to the late Italian immigrants, Francesco and Antonetta (Santora) Flaminio. She has lived in Worcester her whole life and was a graduate of David Hale Fanning Trade School. Angela was store manager at CVS and worked at Filene's in her earlier years. She also was a teacher's aide at Belmont Street School for ten years before her retirement. Angela was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and the Golden Years Club. She was most happy in her home cooking, cleaning and caring for her beloved family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. It was most fitting that she passed on All Saints Day as she was a saint in her family's eyes. Angela's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to both the staff at the Christopher House and the Jewish Healthcare Hospice for the care and compassion shown in her time of need. Services for Angela will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with her funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd., Worcester. Burial will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 5th from 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the funeral home prior to departure to church.
