Phyllis (Gallicchio) Bouvier, 92, of Worcester passed away with her family by her side, Thursday, October 27, 2016, joining her husband Harold and son Robert in heaven. Phyllis one of eight children of Italian immigrants, Antonio and Rose (DiLillo) Gallicchio was born in Worcester and has lived here all her life. In 1948, in Our Lady of Mount Carmel church Phyllis joined in marriage with Harold R Bouvier. They then began a life of love , devotion and family for the next 55 years before Harold passed away in 2003. Shortly thereafter Phyllis became a valued member of the Dodge Park Rest Home for the next 13 years. The Bouvier family would like to thank Dodge Park for the care, comfort and compassion Phyllis enjoyed as a resident. Phyllis is survived by her three devoted children, Rosemarie Gentile and her husband Wayne of Worcester, Susan Zinkus and her husband George of Rutland, Harold R. “Buddy” Bouvier of Worcester; four grandchildren Wayne Gentile and his wife Sheila, Nicole Cross and her husband Keith, William Bouvier and Emily Bouvier, six great grandchildren she adored and who lovingly called her “Grammie Great”; Her former daughter -in-law Ann Berthiaume, Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A son, Robert A. Bouvier passed away in 1991. Four brothers, Frank, Pasquale "Shorty" Rocco “Rocky”, Michael and William Gallicchio and two sisters Lucy Gallicchio, and Clara Roncone also pre deceased her. Phyllis was an active member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel church. She also enjoyed Bingo, cooking, baby sitting her grandchildren and especially the family get-together’s and holidays. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Tuesday, November 1st from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be Wednesday, November 2nd from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd where her Celebration of Life mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances can be made to the Dodge Park Rest Home activities fund, 101 Randolph Rd Worcester.
