Grace Aboody, 85, of Worcester, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Tuesday, October 25th 2016, joining in heaven, her parents and seven siblings. Along with her family, Grace co owned the famous El Morocco Restaurant in Worcester. She was one of nine children of the late Paul and Helen (Kalil) Aboody. Her brother, Paul “Butchie” Aboody, Jr. passed away this last May, sisters, Adele MacKoul, and Marion Haddad, brothers, Joseph Aboody, John Aboody, Richard Aboody, and George “Buddy” Aboody also pre deceased her. She is survived by her sister, best friend, and daily travel partner, Naphie Samara, many nieces, nephews, and extended family that she loved dearly. Along with being a dedicated Aunt, Grace was a loving Godmother to eleven. She will be dearly missed by her family and the Worcester Community. Grace’s greatest pleasure was being surrounded by her friends and family. She touched her family’s lives and those of the community with her warmth, kindness, generosity and that beautiful smile. She'll be missed by all those who knew her, but will never be forgotten. Grace was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, and it’s Women’s Guild. Most of all, she loved entertaining and having her friends and family around her in her home. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours, Sunday, October 30th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. and again from 9:00 am to 9:45 am Monday October 31st in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 256 Hamilton Street, where her funeral service will be celebrated at 10:00 am.
