Worcester - Augusto "Gus" Cutillo, of Worcester passed away peacefully surrounded by family four days after he celebrated his 90th birthday. Gus was born in San Clemente, Provincia Di Caserta, Italy one of four children of Pietro and Concetta (Natale) Cutillo. In 1952, he married Anna Natale and together immigrated to the United States in 1953, beginning a 64 year marriage of Love, Devotion and Family. Other than the occasional trips to Italy to visit family they have lived here ever since. Gus worked more than 20 years for the Lusignan Brothers Company before retiring. Augusto is survived by his devoted wife Anna; his two children, Peter Cutillo and his wife Maria of Worcester, Bob Cutillo and his wife Kelly of Foxboro; two sisters, in Italy Maria Cutillo and Anna Lener; five grandchildren he adored and affectionally known as Nonno, Alexandra, Danielle, Ryan, Jacqueline and Caroline Cutillo; Nieces, nephews and extended family members both here and in Italy. A brother Enzo Cutillo predeceased him. Gus was a member of Mt Carmel/Our Lady of Loreto Church. Gus loved to read, share humorous stories, gardening, cook, fish, the beach and travel to Italy. Augusto's funeral will be held Tuesday, October 25th 2016 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St with a procession to Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in St John Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours, Monday October 24th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
