Eula Mae WaireEula Mae (Madison) Waire, of Worcester, cared about everyone. She loved her family and found great joy in their company, she cared for the sick and her elders, and brought a smile to those less fortunate. She passed away at the age of 83, on Friday, September 30, 2016, in the peacefulness of her home, surrounded by her loving family members. Eula is survived by her cherished family, a son, James S. Waire and his wife Michelle; two daughters, Avis J. Wood, and Joyce S. Waire, all of Worcester. She is also survived by two brothers, Heywood Madison and his wife Marilyn and William Madison and his wife Juanita, all of Worcester; six loving grandchildren, Cyndia, Shavon, Kayla, Kia, Mathias, and Maya; and a great grandson, Zaiden; many nieces and nephews. Eula was born in Durham, North Carolina, daughter of the late Roosevelt Reyes and Hester Madison. She was brought up in Richmond, Virginia, before relocating to Worcester, where she graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade High School and the Quinsigamond College Nursing Program. Along with raising her family with love, and teaching her children and grandchildren how to care for others, she spent over thirty years as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the former Worcester City Hospital and Worcester State Hospital, and the Spring Valley Nursing Home in Worcester, before retiring in 2006. She was a kind and caring woman, and will be missed by many. Services for Eula will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016, in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with Calling Hours from 10 a.m. until the opening prayer of her Funeral Service at 12 Noon.
