Flora R. “Nonna” (DiTullio) Martocchio, 87 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2016 in the comfort of her daughter’s home surrounded by her family. Flora was born in Worcester, a daughter to the late Liberto and Dominica (Genovese) DiTullio. She graduated from David Hill Fanning/Worcester Girls Trade and has resided in Worcester all her life. She worked as a kitchen aide for Guarantee Bank as well as the Marriott before she retired in 1991. Flora was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Ann Parish, enjoyed family “get togethers,” being in the company of her family and cooking for them. She also enjoyed dancing especially ballroom dancing and going to beach especially Cape Cod Beaches and Nantasket Beach. Flora’s husband of 48 years, William A. Martocchio passed away in January of 1996. She is survived by her two devoted daughters, Linda Casello and her husband Michael and Susan Fowler and her husband Kenneth all of Worcester; four grandchildren, Amy DiDonna, Nicole Casello-Persson and her husband Tim, Michael Casello and Jennifer Fowler; five great grandchildren, Noah, Mya, Ella, Jeffrey and Andrew; nieces and nephews including her special niece Carol. She is predeceased by her brother, Anthony DiTullio and her sister, Clara Bondanza; her best friend and sister-in-law, Anna Genovesi. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 12:00 noon in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 6th from 10 am to 12 noon in the funeral prior to her funeral service.
