Carol Ann McKeon

Carol A. (Battista) McKeon, 68 of Worcester, formerly of Shrewsbury, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at home. Carol is survived by her son, Christopher McKeon and his wife Karen of Smithfield, RI; a brother, Anthony J. Battista, Sr. and his wife Patty of Dudley; a niece, Gianna Battista of Westborough and a nephew, Anthony J. Battista, Jr. of Dudley. Carol was born in Worcester, the daughter to the late Guerino L. “Guido” and Catherine A. “Dolly” (Mastrorio) Battista. She grew up in Shrewsbury where she graduated from Shrewsbury High School and has lived most of her life there and in Worcester. Carol worked as an administrative assistant for various companies including O.S. Walker for many years before she retired. Services for Carol will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. A period of calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 1st from 5-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
