Georgette A. (Cloutier) Camere, 91 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Worcester Healthcare Center. Georgette was born in Brunswick, Maine, a daughter to the late Joseph and Victoria (Earl) Cloutier. She grew up in Maine where she attended Saint John’s High School but left school early to work in the mill to help support her family. She met her husband, Joseph in Maine while he was in the service and they were married on June 7, 1944 later moving to Worcester after World War II. Georgette worked as an inspector for 27 years at Astra Pharmaceutical retiring in 1990 and was on the startup committee when they moved from Greendale to Westborough. She also worked for Cornell-Dubilier and Paper Craft both in Worcester. Georgette was a devoted member of Saint Christopher Church. She was an original member of the church and would walk to mass every day when she was able. Georgette loved walking, flowers and maintaining a clean and loving home for her family. Georgette’s husband of 36 years, Joseph H. R. Camere, Sr. passed away on February 27, 1980. She is survived by her son, Joseph H.R. Camere, Jr. and his significant other Diane M. Bennett; a sister Gertrude Bergeron of Topsham, ME; many nieces and nephews including her godson, Michael Pelletier of Rhode Island. She is sadly predeceased by four sons, twin infant boys in 1945, a four month old son Richard Paul Camere who passed in 1948 and another son in 1951. She is also predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, David and Laurier Cloutier; four sisters, Annette Barnes, Marie D’Angelo, Victoria and Cecile Cloutier. Services for Georgette will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Christopher Church, 950 W Boylston St, Worcester. Burial beside her husband will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a period of calling hours on Thursday, August 25th from 4-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
