Joyce Curran

Joyce F. (Justavitch) Curran, 73, of Holden, passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 15th 2016 in her home. Joyce’s husband of 31 years, Thomas F. Curran Jr. passed away in 2005.  She is survived by many  cousins and extended family members, especially a cousin who cared for and watched over her for years.    Joyce was born in Worcester, the daughter of Steven J. and Helen F. (LaConte) Juskavitch.  She was raised and educated in Worcester, married Thomas and moved to Holden in 1974.  She has lived there ever since.    Joyce worked many years for the Worcester State Hospital before retiring.   A simple women who enjoyed traveling with her husband and watching television.  Funeral services for Joyce will be held Thursday, August 18th at 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St.  Entombment next to Thomas will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum.  A period of calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 am in the funeral home prior to the service.    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
