Ruth M. Shandrick

Ruth M. (Anderson) Shandrick, 90, of Grafton, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, with her daughter at her bedside in the Millbury Healthcare Center.  Her husband, Gregory J. Shandrick, predeceased her in June of 1980. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Lee Prevosk; a granddaughter, Cara Stone; a great granddaughter, Kiana Stone, all of Worcester; a brother, William Anderson of Webster; many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister, Gunnar and Robert Anderson and Elaine Valentine.  She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Gunnar A. and Jeanette L. (Santon) Anderson, and has lived in Grafton, and Sutton. Ruth enjoyed quiet times with her family, doing cross word puzzles and reading historical books.  She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. There are no calling hours.  A private burial service beside her husband at Saint Phillip Cemetery, Grafton, will be held privately. Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, Worcester is assisting Ruth’s family with arrangements.
