Ann M. Hartz

Ann M. (O’Leary) Hartz, 58, of Worcester died peacefully August 8, 2016 in St. Vincent Hospital after a battle with cancer. Ann is survived by a brother John O’Leary and his wife Sharon of Becket, MA. and two nephews John and Michael O’Leary and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Ann was born in Leominster daughter of the late John M. and Dorothy (Shepard) O’Leary and lived in Worcester most of her life. She was a graduate of Burncoat High School. She worked many years for the Department of Energy where she was trained in Affirmative Action and Equal Employment, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and was the Office Manager there for many years. Most recently she worked for the Worcester Telegram & Gazette as a Distribution Center Supervisor. She also worked for the Coeur d’ Alene Press, and the Seven Hills Foundation. Ann was an animal lover and had many rescue pets over the years. She enjoyed her work and being with her family. She will be sadly missed buy her family and friends. In accordance with her wishes, all services will be private and at the family’s convenience. The MERCADNTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St.is assisting the family with Ann’s arrangements.
