Jacques Bartholomew “Jack” Bazner, III, died as he often lived, sound asleep in his favorite chair. It was sudden but not unexpected; he passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda A. (Sears) Bazner, with whom he celebrated forty years of love and family this past June; their two daughters, Amanda H. Bazner of Worcester, and Emily M. Brown and her husband Josh of Danvers; his mother, Agnes Barletta of Greenfield, MA; his father, Jacques B. Bazner, Jr. of Las Vegas; a brother William Bazner and his wife Nancy of Reno, Nevada; two sisters, Diane Bazner of Watertown, and Laura Doughty and her husband Francis of Wendell. He was born in Boston, and grew up in Randolph; having been gifted with a great mind, he matriculated into Worcester Polytechnic Institute at the age of sixteen. It was while in college that he met the love of his life, and has made Worcester his home ever since. Jack was a 401K Plan Administrator with CitiStreet Financial in Quincy. He had previously worked for Sweet Life Foods in Northborough and was a member of the Teamsters Local 170. He loved being with his family and his life revolved around his wife and two daughters. He enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially our local New England teams. A gathering of family and friends to visit with Jack’s family will be on Saturday, August 6, from 11 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, a donation in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen Street, 2nd Floor, Framingham, Massachusetts 01701 or by visiting www.diabetes.org
