David B. Borci, 63, of Worcester passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 24th 2016 in his sleep. David was born in Worcester on April 19, 1953, a son of the late Boniface and Jeanne (Bourdages) Borci. He graduated from St John High School, the New England School of Accounting, and Worcester State College. Shortly out of college, David accepted a position with the Federal Government in the Internal Revenue Service Fitchburg office where he worked over 25 years before retiring a couple of years ago. David is survived by his mother, Jeanne M. Borci, with whom he lived and served as principal caregiver; his siblings, Patricia Archambeault and her husband Paul of Spencer and Mario Borci of Worcester; nieces and nephews, extended family, and many friends. A sister in law, Doreen (Louiseau) Borci, passed away in 1999. David was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church and the Eastside Improvement Club. A huge sports fan and sports memorabilia collector, his favorite teams were the New York Giants, New York Yankees, Pittsburg Steelers, Philadelphia Flyers, and the Boston Bruins. David also enjoyed listening to all types of music. His family was his life’s inspiration, caring for his mother, being in the company of his sister, brother, nieces and nephews were what made him happiest. Friends and relatives are invited to a period of calling hours Friday, July 29th from 9:30 am to 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Followed by a service at 11:00 am. Burial with his beloved aunt, Angela M. Borci, who predeceased him will be held privately.
