Patricia A. (Beahn) Lemay, 81, a wonderful and beautiful woman, passed away Thursday, July 14th 2016 from injuries suffered when she was struck by a truck while walking her neighborhood. Patricia was born in Worcester, one of eight children of Frank and Evelyn Beahn. She grew up in Worcester, married the “Love of Her Life” Richard H. Lemay and together they settled in a home off Hamilton Street to raise their fourteen children and for the next 38 years, they lived a life of family. Pat’s husband, Richard passed away on November 28, 1994 after 38 years of marriage. She is survived by her fourteen children; six daughters, Donna M. Sliwoski and her husband Paul of Oxford, Debra J. Lemay of Worcester, Michele A. Munger of Westminster, Karen E. Germain and her husband Joseph of Rutland, Ann Marie Mercier and her husband Dave of Worcester, Patti A. Kursonis and her husband Christopher of West Boylston; eight sons, Richard J. Lemay and his wife Dorry of Worcester, William M. Lemay and his wife Linda of Paxton, John F. Lemay and his wife Gina of Charlton, Michael P. Lemay of Atlanta GA, Robert J. Lemay of Worcester, Paul L. Lemay and his wife Melissa of Oxford, Joseph R. Lemay and his wife Dawn of Worcester, David P. Lemay and his wife Melissa of Sheffield PA; 30 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Patricia also leaves a brother Robert Beahn of Worcester and two sisters, Ruth Barrett of Worcester and Carol Balser of North Grafton along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides her husband Richard, Patricia was predeceased by five brothers, Raymond, Joseph, Walter, Warren and Jack Beahn. Patricia was a member of St Stephen’s Church. Well known in her neighborhood, Pat had a smile, a wave or a kind word for all as she passed by on her daily routine walking the area she loved and lived. Patricia was the matriarch of the family, strong in her faith and devoted to her children. The greatest moments in Pat’s life were spent with her children and especially her 30 grandchildren. She found so much enjoyment in playing with and watching them grow. She loved traveling with her family and siblings. She cherished them all. She was the backbone of her family, always offering a kind word, wise guidance and dedicated love. She will be truly missed. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Sunday, July 17th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. The funeral for Patricia will be held Monday, July 18th from the funeral home with a procession to St Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton St. where her celebration of life Mass will be held at 10:00 am. Burial next to her husband Richard will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
