Colleen A. Morin “Myrt”, of Worcester passed away Sunday morning July 10th 2016 with her family gathered by her side. She was 62 years of age. Myrt was born in Worcester; her parents were the late Richard and Marguerite (Coyle) Morin. She graduated from Holy Name High School and attended Nichols College, and worked 42 years at Allegro Microsystems, formerly Sprague Electric. She has lived here all her life. Colleen leaves behind her beloved daughter, Mattie VandenBoom of Auburn; her four siblings, Karen Morin and her husband Mike of Auburn, Michael Morin and his wife Linda, Edward Morin, Terry LaComfora and her husband Paul all of Worcester; six nieces and nephews, 3 great nieces and nephews. Her very best friend Victoria Frigon of Millbury and her psycho cat Huxley; Extended family members and friends. Myrt loved spending time with her daughter traveling and birding. She loved playing the piano, crocheting, and playing cards with family and friends. Myrt was known for her incredible baking skills and ensured that any event was fully stocked with delicious desserts. Myrt’s friends considered her the original Google referring to herself as a cesspool of useless knowledge. Friends and relatives are invited to share stories of Colleen Thursday, July 14th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will be private.
