William “Billy” J. Johndrow, Jr., 66, of Shrewsbury, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016, at Saint Francis Home in Worcester. He is survived by his friends and caregivers, Ronald and Delores Johnson of Northborough. William was born in Worcester at the former City Hospital on July 29, 1949, son of the late, William J. and Ruth (Byrne) Johndrow. His father was a full blooded Native American of the Chippewa Nation; his mother was a Worcester native. They lived in Utah for many years, before Billy moved back to Central Massachusetts, finally settling in Shrewsbury thirty-five years ago. He was proud of his Indian Heritage and was an avid reader and studier of Indian life. He also loved to read Nostradamus and books about predictions of the future. He worked for forty years as a machinist at Standard Lock Washer Company in Worcester, before he retired. He had a strong faith in God, and was known to always have his rosary in hand. He never complained and was a sweet and caring man. All Services will be held privately, he will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
