Neri J. Arsenault, 86, of Spencer formerly of Worcester passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Rose Monahan Hospice surrounded by his loving family. Neri is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Alberta M. (Richard) Arsenault; his son, Daniel J. Arsenault and his wife Laura of Worcester; four daughters, Claudette M. Arsenault and her fiancé Nicholas Sefakis of Milford, Linda M. Snow and her fiancé John Carney of Lowell, Brenda A. Cove and her husband Robert of Worcester, and Stacey J. Arsenault of Spencer; three sisters, Aline Robinson, Bernice Richard, and Dorice Aucoin; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Edgar and Delina (Cormier) Arsenault; his step-son Gary Richard; three brothers, Irenee, Laurie & Raymond Arsenault; four sisters, Rita Goguen, Helene Pellerin, Jeanne Tremblay, and Beatrice Breau; and his grand-daughter, Jaimee Lee Snow. Neri was born on April 10, 1930 in New Brunswick, Canada, where he was raised and eventually met the love of his life Alberta. They immigrated to Worcester in 1968 where he and Alberta raised their family. Neri worked in construction as a carpenter and retired from R.H. White Construction Co. in Auburn in 1995. After his retirement he and his family settled in Spencer. Neri enjoyed camping, fishing and being outdoors. He was a hard worker and was always willing to use his carpentry skills to help others. He was well known for his sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. Most of all Neri enjoyed spending time with his family. Neri was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend; he will be missed dearly by all those who knew him. A Memorial Mass has been scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Friday June 17, 2016 at Mary Queen of the Rosary Church, 60 Maple St, Spencer, MA.
