Richard Allan Perry of Holden, born in Worcester on March 30, 1948, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on May 22, 2016. Richard leaves a legacy of devotion to his wife of 30 years, Dorothy Ann (Stooke) Perry; three loving daughters and one son: Monica L. Racicot and husband Jeffery of Woodstock, CT, Michelle A. Dahlstrom and husband Michael of Webster, Becky L. Spring and husband Christopher of LaPlata, MD and Glenn P. Williams and wife Heather of Worcester; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was predeceased by his precious grandson, Joshua Perry Williams. Richard was the son of the late, Raymond Lawrence Perry and Kathleen Gloria (Corbett) Stevens. He graduated from Saint John’s High School in 1966, and earned a B.S. in Psychology at Georgetown University, Washington, DC in 1970. He went on to earn a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, in 1972. In 1974, Richard entered the financial services industry, working at Prudential Insurance Company of America. In 1979 he became a partner with Robert Evans at Financial Planning Associates, and in 1981 he helped form Qualified Plan Administrators, as a subsidiary of Financial Planning Associates, for qualified financial plan administration. During that same year, he became the Pension Specialist for Mass Mutual Agency in Boston. In 1985, Richard joined the New England Life Agency in Worcester, as the Pension Specialist and Manager of Tyler Associates, Inc. In 1990 he became a partner with John Olson at CIPC Systems. In 1993, he became a Registered Securities Principal, with LPL Financial, LLC. In 2012, he founded Retirement Resources Group, LLC, to consolidate operations of CIPC Systems and LPL Financial, LLC. Richard was involved in many professional organizations. He was a member and Past President of WLUA, Worcester Life Underwriters Association, ASPPA, American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries, NAPA, National Association of Planned Advisors, NIPA, National Institute of Pension Administrators, IMCA, Investment Management Consultants Association and CEFEX, Center for Fiduciary Excellence. Professional designations: CLU, Chartered Life Underwriter, ChFC, Chartered Financial Consultant, QPA, Qualified Pension Administrator, QPFC, Qualified Plan Financial Consultant, CPFA, Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor, and AIFA, Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst. He served as Past Chairman of The Salvation Army, Citadel Corp of Worcester, he was Board Vice President for Samaritan Community Health Services, Inc. of Webster, and was Board President of Community Health Management, also in Webster. Richard was a licensed automobile racing driver for thirteen years. He enjoyed racing cars in Sonoma, CA. He held licenses at various times with the USAC, United States Auto Club, IMSA, International Motor Sports Association, and the Sports Car Club of America. After retiring as an active driver, he enjoyed motor sports photography. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 26th at 7:00 p.m. at The Journey Community Church, 23 Belmont Street, Worcester. Interment will be held privately.
