Thomas P. Mallett, 51, of Worcester, a gifted, caring and community volunteer, passed away unexpectedly Friday May 20th 2016. Thomas is survived by his mother, Loretta (Sbrogna) Mallett; his life partner, Stacey Tufts with whom he lived; two brothers, Peter D. Mallett and his wife Michelle of Virginia and Keith A. Mallett, his wife Kerry and daughter Molly; a sister, Grace Ann Mallett all of Auburn; two nephews, Christian Mallett and his fiancee Amber, Nicholas Mallett and his wife Jessica; Extended family and friends. His father, Albert J. Mallett, Jr. passed away in 2014 and brother, Albert J. Mallett, III passed away in 2012. Thomas was born in Worcester and has lived between here and FL all his life. Tom worked as a service driver for the Lamontagne Burial Vault Company and previously as a Construction Supervisor for Courtyard Construction in Florida. Tom loved the gift of personal community giving back and devoted his time as a volunteer in Mendon to an animal no kill sanctuary, “Maple Farm Sanctuary”, the Worcester Community Health Link and APW where everyone treasured his presence and help. Tom was an earthbound individual who loved raising orchids,plants and gardening; he found his passion in giving his excess growth to his neighbors and those in need. He adored animals and working with them at the sanctuary, building model ships and working with his hands. Tom was an early riser whose favorite time of day was sunrise,"because there is one you can count on every day". A Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 28th, at 10:30 am in the Faith Church, 22 Faith Ave, Auburn, MA 01501. Burial was private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his name can be made to Maple Farms Sanctuary, 101 North Ave, Mendon, MA 01756, the Worcester Community Health Link, Family Health Center, Queen Street Worcester or the Faith Church, 22 Faith Ave, Auburn, Mass.
