Eric Lee “E-Dub” Johnson, 43 of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at home, the son of Leroy and Carrie (Bailey) Johnson. Eric is survived by his four children; Lanyia and Khandis Johnson and Tiana Mangual all of Worcester, and Samantha Johnson of Texas; his parents, Leroy and Carrie (Bailey) Johnson; his older brother, Elgin Johnson; two sisters, Roberta Nelson and Rebecca Johnson all of Worcester; his youngest sister, Latricia Vancellette of Rutland; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Eric is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, James Bailey, Ethal (Bailey) Anfield and Mitchell Anfield. He is also predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Alberta (Hall) Johnson and Willie Johnson. Eric was born in Boston, Massachusetts but raised in Worcester, Massachusetts. He attended Worcester Public Schools and did well. He worked as a cherry picker at Imperial Distributors. Eric has been a wonderful role model towards his nieces and nephews. His passion in life was drawing which he turned into tattooing. Eric was an experienced and a well-known Barber who loved to go fishing. He loved to dance and would prank anyone who he felt that needed a smile. But most of all he loved being with his family and close friends. Eric was a caring and open hearted person and during his life he has made many friendships and touched a lot of people. A period of calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 10-11:30 a.m. with his funeral service to immediately follow at 11:30 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.
