Marguerite (Fournier) Simmarano, 64, of Worcester died peacefully Friday May 13, 2016 at home with her loved ones around her. She is survived by a brother Joseph Fournier of Worcester, many nieces and nephews among them Francis and Nicole Fournier, also an uncle John Evangelista, and aunt Christine Iacarrino and many cousins and several great nieces and nephews. Marguerite was born in Worcester daughter of the late Francis and Antoinette (Evangelista) Fournier and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of North High School, and Worcester State College where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree. She was a Medical Transcriber at the Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. Marguerite also worked many years for her Uncle John at the Parkway Diner, and also worked many years at the Four Seasons Restaurant before she retired. She attended the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann. Marguerite enjoyed cooking, and loved working and meeting people. She was a dedicated Disney Fan, and made numerous trips there. Although she really enjoyed being with her family, and will be sadly missed. The funeral for Marguerite will be held Monday May23, 2016 at 10:30AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. A calling hour will be held from 9AM to 10:30AM prior to the service. She will then be laid to rest with her parents in Notre Dame Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
