Paul (Butchie) Aboody Jr. Born September 20th 1940 in Worcester MA, passed away Wednesday night May 11th at St. Vincent's hospital surrounded by family and friends. Paul leaves his daughter Nicole (Aboody) Milbier, his son Jason Aboody and wife Belinda Aboody, and their mother Loretta Sclafani. He also leaves his sons Paul M Aboody and Blake Aboody, and their mother Patricia Aboody and Grandmother Betty Vigliatura. Paul leaves one granddaughter Arabella Milbier. Paul leaves his two loving sisters Naphie Samara and Grace Aboody, and many cousins, nephews and nieces. Paul is the son of the late Paul and Helen (Kalil) Aboody. Paul is pre-deceased by his sister Adele McKoul, Marion Haddad, Joseph Aboody, John Aboody, Richard Aboody, George (Buddy) Aboody. Paul graduated from St. Anselm's College with a Master’s Degree in Science and Education. He was a former Science teacher at Burncoat Jr. High and South High School where he also specialized in photography. Paul along with his family was the owner of the famous El Morocco restaurant in Worcester and the Co-owner of J.P. Aboody in Faneuil Hall, Lafayette Place and the Corner Mall in Boston. He was a Director of Occupational Safety and Hygiene for the State of Massachusetts for many years. He currently worked for the City of Worcester in Quality and Hazardous materials as a Sanitary inspector. Paul was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, always helping with church functions and events preparing meals in the kitchen. Paul’s greatest pleasure was being surrounded by his friends and family serving his many culinary creations. He will always be remembered for his "El" famous salad. He also loved to entertain at the lake house with cookouts and sunset boat rides. His boat was named after his well known phrase line "It doesn't get better than this" He was the most loving, generous and caring man. He has touched the lives many people. He will be missed but never forgotten. Paul’s funeral service will be held on Monday May 16, 2016 at 10:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 256 Hamilton St. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday May 15, 2016 from 3PM to 6PM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Interment will be in the family lot in Notre Dame Cemetery.
