Roger O. LeBlanc, 64, of Worcester passed away Thursday, April 28th with the ones he loved gathered by his bedside after a brief illness. Roger was born in Southbridge, one of thirteen children of Ernest and Antonia (St. Martin) LeBlanc. He grew up in Worcester, graduated from Doherty High School and has lived here all his life. In 1974, Roger met, Donna Simpson; they dated for the next four years before marrying in 1978. For the next 38 years they lived in love and devotion raising their family and enjoying life together. Roger worked for the Red Cab Company for many years. He previously worked for the Providence and Worcester Railroad. Roger is survived by his devoted family, “the love of his life” Donna; his three children, Andre LeBlanc, Olivia Lopez and her husband Marcus all of Worcester and Eric LeBlanc in North Carolina; Twelve grandchildren; His two sisters, Susanne Harrington of Spencer and Pauline Cox of Millbury; four brothers, Richard, Arthur and Joseph LeBlanc all of Worcester, and Donald LeBlanc of Dudley; Many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Three brothers, Alfred, Albert and Roland, and three sisters, Lorraine Rogers, Jean Debs and Anita LeBlanc all pre deceased him. Roger was a longtime member of St Peters Church. He loved sports, and coached his children’s sports teams at Worcester Central Catholic School. Roger loved to camp, celebrate special occasions and especially have his grandchildren around him. He was truly loved by all his friends, family and co-workers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 3rd at 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the Service.
