Michele A. (Bock) Oshman, 32 of Millbury, Massachusetts formerly of Enfield, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at UMass Medical Center surrounded by her devoted family after suffering a stroke. Michele was born in Hartford, Connecticut and graduated from Enfield High School, Class of 2001. She pursued her interest in teaching and love for children by attending Western New England College and graduated in 2005 with her Bachelor’s degree in history. She then continued her education and attended Fitchburg State University and graduated in 2014 with her Master’s degree in secondary education. For the past 11 years, Michele was a high school social studies teacher at Leominster High School where she worked alongside her mother for the past two years. She recently moved to Millbury, Massachusetts in 2013. Michele was an advisor for the Advocates of the Invisible, a curator for the Enfield Historical Society, and a lifetime member of the Thespian Society. You may hear people say that Michele loved teaching. Both in her words and tone it was clear that she was devoted to her students. She never complained about any of her students and only thought about how to help them more. She always spoke about them with passion and love. We are all asking the same question, “why Michele?”; but we know that she would want all of her students to continue toward graduation because she believed in each and every one of them. The only passion that was greater than her teaching was her love for family, especially her daughter, Jenna. Being a mother was the most important part of her life. Michele is survived by her devoted husband of seven years, James M. Oshman; her daughter, Jenna M. Oshman of Millbury; her parents, Michael A. and Michele (Locario) Bock of North Grafton; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lee and Alice Oshman; a brother-in-law, Steven Oshman all of Yorktown Heights, NY; a sister-in-law, Adrienne (Oshman) Schneidman and her husband, Josh, of Melville, NY; two aunts, Gloria L. Miller of Enfield, CT and Betty Ann Brzoska of Stratford, CT; four cousins, Michael Miller and his wife, Celeste Dzialo, of Enfield, CT, Edward Miller and his wife, Laura, of Lewiston, ID, Andrew Brzoska and Matthew Brzoska and his wife, Brooke, all of Stratford, CT; and a host of friends.
