Frances D. (Gardella) Lockwood, 65, of Worcester, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, surrounded by loving family. Frances is survived by her two beautiful daughters, Erica F. Zwicker and her husband Matthew, and Lindsey Lockwood, all of Worcester; a brother, Edward P. Gardella; two sisters, Elizabeth M. Gardella and Missy Lucier, all of Worcester; five grandchildren, Gianna, Tommy, Ariella, Daija, and Gussy; aunts Mary Andresano and Barbara Andresano; an uncle, Fred Lacasse; a niece, Nancy Gardella and a nephew, Michael Lucier. She was predeceased by a grandson, Gus IV. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Leo J. and Frances (Andresano) Gardella, and has lived here all her life. She graduated from the former Sacred Heart Academy and attended Quinsigamond Community College. Frances worked for many years as a PCA in Labor and Delivery at UMass-Memorial on Belmont Street in Worcester, before retiring in 2012. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Saint Ann Parish, and the Golden Years Society. She was a talented artist, who enjoyed sharing her drawings and paintings with friends and family. Frances loved her church, going to the beach, and listening to good music, especially The Beatles. Her family was the most important thing to her and she loved to spend time with them. There will be a period of visitation and a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, on Saturday morning, April 16, from 10 a.m. until her Funeral Mass begins 11 a.m. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church is at 24 Mulberry Street in Worcester. Interment in Saint John’s Cemetery, will be held privately.
