Iva M. Evans

Iva M. (Carroll) Evans 97. of Worcester died peacefully on April11,2016 in the Lutheran Skilled Care Center.  She was predeceased by her husband Louis T.Evans in 2001.Iva was born in Baltimore. MD on Feb.27,1919 to the late Charles Carroll and Flora (Bivens) Carroll.She moved to Worcester many years ago and had last lived in Spencer, Ma before moving to Winter Garden, FL 35 years ago. She returned to Worcester after the death of her husband.She will be missed by her family but leaves much love and many memories that can never be replaced.  Left to greave her passing are her 2 daughters, Floretta DeBoise Simington and,her husband  of Worcester with whom she lived, and  Kathryn Coker, of Oliverhust,CA  6 Grandchildren , Frank and Brien DeBoise and wives of Worcester, Anthony DeBoise and wife of W.Boylston , MA, Debra DeBoise of New York, NY Alaina Gallagher and husband and Traca Coker of CA. 7 great grandchildren, and 3 great,great grandchildren 1 sister, Minnie Houston,of Phila, Pa. and many nieces, nephews and friends.  She was predeceased by her brother Clyde Carroll and a grandaughter Deanna Dorsey.  Her favorite things were spending time with her family and going out to eat at different resturants with her friends of whom she had many. She was a member of the Jehovah'sWitness Burncoat Congregation and has been a Witness for 63 years.   A time to meet with her family will be held on Thursday, April 21, from 5:PM-7PM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation Street , Worcester.  A Memorial Service will be on Saturday  April 23 at 11:AM in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness 659 Franklin Street, Worcester, MA   The family of Iva Evans would like to thank Hospice, and the entire staff of the Lutheran Skilled Care Center in Worcester for the loving care and compassion shown to them and their loved one during her short stay there.   To leave a message for the family or share a special memory of Iva please visit her Memorial site at  mercadantefuneral.com
