Curtis Jones, 70 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Worcester Health Center surrounded by his loving family. Curits’ wife, Diana G. (Anderson) Jones passed away on July 4, 2015. He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Jones; a brother, Rev. Herbert Jones and his wife Louise; two sisters, Sylvia Minton and Sandra Fleuran, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Jones all of Worcester; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by three brothers, Ulyses Jones, Harry Jones, Henry Jones and sister-in-law Verbetine Jones. Curtis was born in Suffolk, Virginia, a son of the late Herbert and Mary (Fuzz) Minton. He lived in Virginia till 1966 later moving to Worcester where he has lived ever since. Curtis worked in the maintenance department for Plumley Village for many years. He also worked for the Worcester Housing Authority retiring in 1996. Curtis enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his extended family the Andersons. A memorial service for Curtis will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 11 am at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Wednesday morning from 10-11 am in the funeral home prior to his memorial service.
