Gerardi who died April 8, 2015. Marilyn leaves her loving family; a son Stephen Gerardi and his wife Marilynn of Dalton, MA., her daughter Susan Archey and her husband Lawrence “Larry” Archey of Springfield MA. She was the doting grandmother to Kristopher, Paula, Larry Jr. Diana, and David. She also leaves four great grandchildren, Brother and sisters in law, nieces, and nephews. Marilyn was predeceased by two brothers Thomas and John “Jack” Greenwich. Marilyn was born in Worcester daughter of the late John P. and Anna (Allen) Greenwich and lived in Worcester for many years before moving to Mattapoisett, and then retiring to live in Georgia. She was a graduate of Classical High School where she graduated first in her class. Putting aside her own professional ambitions, Marilyn married her husband Leo and devoted her early life supporting his career and raising their two children. With Leo’s work often taking him on the road, Marilyn was the matriarch of the family ensuring their home was well managed and the children were provided a Christian family environment and a quality education. In the little free time she had, she volunteered her time at the local church and schools they attended. As a grandmother, there was none better. The grandchildren were often found by her apron strings as she was baking special treats and later sitting on her lap as she read them a bedtime story. She took them on adventurous trips, played with them at the beach and was the center of every family holiday. She loved to sew, cook, bake, and was an avid reader. However her most treasured times were when she was with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
